What are the differences in isolate, full-spectrum & broad-spectrum hemp?

Legal hemp derived full-spectrum extracts have a THC content below 0.3%. The full spectrum of the active compounds work together synergistically to amplify the effects and increase the efficacy of the individual components. This phenomenon is referred to as the entourage effect.

Broad-spectrum extracts contain CBD and all the other compounds within the plant, including terpenes and other cannabinoids, with the exception of THC. Broad-spectrum extracts, like full-spectrum extracts, can produce the entourage effect.

CBD isolate is a single molecule chemical extraction of the cannabis plant that contains only CBD. Science now shows that the body prefers a whole plant food/medicine over a refined or isolated version as is demonstrated by the entourage effect. The long term health impacts of the use of CBD isolates is unknown.

What is cannabidiol (CBD)?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in hemp. CBD is one of over 100+ cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. Unlike many of the other cannabinoids, CBD hemp strains have been bred so that CBD occurs in significant quantities; therefore, it is relatively easily extracted from these strains.

What is the Endocannabinoid System, or ECS?
